🏕️ Wilderness and Remote First Aid Certification

2-Day Course

The Wilderness and Remote First Aid Course provides individuals with the foundational first aid principles and skills needed to respond to emergencies in environments where emergency medical services (EMS) are not immediately available. This includes remote wilderness settings as well as urban disaster situations such as earthquakes and hurricanes.

Designed for scouts, scout leaders, outdoor enthusiasts, and remote workers, this course teaches advanced first aid skills to be used when professional help may be hours away.
The curriculum is based on the Boy Scouts of America Wilderness First Aid Doctrine and aligns with OSHA’s Best Practices for Workplace First Aid Training Programs.


🛟 Course Topics Include:

  • Patient assessment and evacuation plans

  • Treating wounds, bone and joint injuries, heat- and cold-related emergencies

  • Managing sudden illnesses and environmental emergencies

  • Emergency decision-making in remote locations

 


Prerequisites:

  • Must be at least 14 years old on or before the final day of the course.

  • Must possess a current Adult CPR/AED certificatio
